We are tired of being third-rate citizens. Bored with being worms, fish or lice. They irritate us because they turn their backs on us too many times. In our American country and in the immigrant U.S., the Hispanic is a worker and serious. The primary minority of the U.S. is greater than 39 million people. In California, 50% of the children born this year are Latinos. Illegal? Those who pay taxes, who respect laws, who try to do well working are illegal? In legal economic respects, everyone here pays Social Security for the welfare of Uncle Sam’s finances. We all pay.

The main commitment of La Voz Hispana (The Hispanic Voice) is to help Hispanics so that they find work for free, are well informed, learn English, find a good doctor or lawyer, etc. This is our commitment; for us, moral effects for "illegals" are legal. The American government is illegal if does not help minorities, as stated in its constitution. The Mexican government is illegal if it forgets its citizens abroad. In our editorial work, we see too many tears of people without work, mothers separated from their children, the industrious exploited, Hispanics legally misinformed, etc. Latin Americans need help and a lot of it. La Voz Hispana is obligated to do so. We are not going to deceive you: a newspaper is a business and has to pay salaries, electricity, distribution, etc. But fundamentally it is a medium that should be serious, rigorous and credible. Prestigious to the Latino in this way, we should be very proud of our social and cultural wealth. But fundamentally La Voz Hispana must take care of and help its community. We are a Latin American newspaper and we give of ourselves completely. We will not turn our back on you; to our newspaper you are first a citizen. For us you are legal, not a fish nor a louse nor worm.
