"I have grown and continue maturing in journalism. This work has helped me to understand many things, to experience incredible situations, and to know fascinating people.
I have made and will continue to make plenty of mistakes, and therefore I must give thanks to those people who have had the patience to bear with me. Many have helped me, taught me, advised me and inspired me; without them I never would have survived in this profession. I am so thankful to those who, with the wisdom of their years, believed in others, which has been translated for me into a way of life.
Being a journalist is to be neither rich nor good-looking nor famous; it is more appropriate to say it is all to the contrary. Unfortunately this profession is full of frustrated novelists, politicians, judges, actors, and scientists. A journalist never can be 'the news'. A journalist reports; he does not judge. A journalist is not interested in who went to bed with whom or whether someone is famous or not.
The journalist's first rule is to be noble, the second is to be educated, and the third is to smile. But this work, unfortunately, is full of rabble that uses this profession for personal or business revenge. We are surrounded by arrogant manipulators who steer information to their advantage. With all this the unique thing is that, in conducting themselves, they confuse more and more the meaning of the word LIBERTY. This is a profesion full of liars and flashy preachers. It is incredible that the majority of journalists think of themselves as independent, free, without really being so. I have suffered permanent rebukes. I recommend that you take this adage to heart: 'Of what you see, you create half of it, and of what counts, you create none of it'.
Any suggestions, questions or comments that you would like to make will be welcome."
